Rent Close to Home (2005)

Smadar and Mirit, both 18 years old, are assigned to patrol the streets of Jerusalem together as part of their military service. Worlds apart in personality their initial frosty relationship changes to friendship as they deal with their own emotional issues as well as the political reality of the city they live in. Close to Home sensitively portrays the realities of two teenagers forced to lead a military life but who are equally interested in love and shopping and other so-called trivial things. This desire for normality will threaten their new found friendship in a world where individuality is frowned upon.
