Synopsis:
A good cop on a tough beat, Jack Caine (Dolph Lundgren) thought he'd dealt with every kind of crime on earth. But now, someone is using human bodies to manufacture narcotics. Someone - or something - not of this world. To the alien, humans represent ideal drug factories. The process is simple, the drugs are perfect, and it doesn't matter that people die. To detective Caine, the alien represents mankind's worst threat. If his mission succeeds, his comrades follow - and the planet will be destroyed. How do you fight the most powerful evil on earth? Any may you can - and with everything you've got.
Along with his straight-arrow FBI partner, Laurence Smith (Brian Benben), and his girlfriend, city coroner Diane Pallone (Betsy Brantley), Caine is going to send this alien home in pieces...or die trying!

80’s Cheese - Dark Angel review by sb

Spoiler Alert
04/01/2024

FILM & REVIEW Occasionaly when you have a rental by post list something turns up you don’t remember adding but heck it here so let’s have a look. A truly thick slice of 80’s action cheese has Dolph as a maverick cop tracking down some drug dealers who have killed his partner . This time he is saddled with straight laced FBI man who does everything by the book but they soon discover that someone else is after the heroin….that someone else is a an alien who injects the heroin into various people and extracts some fluid that he can use to make even stronger heroin that he take back to his own planet and sell at a huge profit. If all this sound ridiculous it is….as is the terrible script , truly dreadful acting (Dolph is a real Poundshop Arnie ) with loads of car chases, explosions and every cliche in the book. But at the same time it’s rather fun in a Friday night straight to VHS rental way- it’s not a Canon film but it may well as be…so 3/5

A great 90's sci-fi action film - Dark Angel review by CP Customer

Spoiler Alert
14/12/2005

Dark Angel is an exciting sci-fi action thriller with a good plot and some great action sequences. Dolph Lundgren plays Jack Kane, a streetwise cop who teams up with an FBI agent to apprehend an alien drug dealer, who murders his victims and at the point of near death sucks the endorphins from their brains to trade on the intergalactic drug market. All in all, 'Dark Angel' is a product of the early 90's, so don't expect anything too cutting edge, but there's plenty of action and overall the film moves along a good pace, add in some cool weapons and it's a fun popcorn flick for sci-fi action fans, and if you liked sci-fi classics like 'Enemy Mine' and 'Alien Nation' then this is recommended viewing!
