- Four months after pregnant Sarah (Alysson Paradis) loses her husband in a horrific auto accident, she is visited on Christmas Eve by a mysterious madwoman. Alone and desperate to save her unborn child, Sarah fights to stay alive as each of her potential rescuers die at the woman's sadistic hands. An intense, unflinchingly horrific, viscerally violent and unremittingly brutal home invasion horror of ferocity, revenge and maternity.

Slightly above average horror porn - Inside review by CP Customer
As the Western cinema seems to have abandoned the idea that you can't make a scary film without graphic scenes of violence each new film seems to be trying to find ways of outdoing the last in this respect. To be fair "Inside" is slightly above average in this type of genre- but it's one I wish would suddenly cease to exist.
Fortunately recent Far-Eastern films like "The Ring" & "Tale of 2 Sisters" show that the art of frightening the audience without having to watch gratuitous violence is not lost- but if anyone can think of an example of this that has come out of Western cinema in the last 10 years I'd love to know what it is.
