Dirty Politics - King's Game review by CP Customer

Spoiler Alert
30/05/2007

The story is very Danish, but you have the suspicion it could be anywhere in the western world where spindoctors are important for modern politicians. Very good acting all around, but the commentary is probably for people interested in Danish politics.

Danish Political Corruption Thriller - King's Game review by PV

Spoiler Alert
08/06/2024

This is a political intrigue thriller all about corruption, so do not expect any murders etc as it is not a crime drama that way.

I found it a tad dry and slow. But then, that is what this is. Not a murder mystery in the manner of those Scandi Danish dramas.

Just too many suits and meetings and office blocks for me to take! And one has to concentrate a lot, esp on names of characters, so ensure all is clear in the end.

Watch with the original HOUSE OF CARDS maybe or other political corruption dramas.

A believable & uncomplicated depiction of political ambition & journalistic determination. - King's Game review by DW

This is a joy to watch, especially the clear & concise subtitles. It tells a single theme story that moves forward at a steady pace without flashbacks or back stories to cause diversions. Most unusually, the main characters are all in happy, stress-flee marriages: makes a change!

I suppose politics & journalism are pretty much the same throughout the developed world but this had a most enjoyable uniqueness for me. A great watch.
