- Synopsis:
- Madam de La Pommeraye (Cécile de France), a young widow removed from the world, assigns to the court of the marquis des Arcis (Edouard Baer), licentious notorious. After a few years of a happiness without flaw, she discovers that the Marquis is tired of their union. Madly in love and terribly injured, she decides to take revenge on him with the complicity of Mademoiselle de Joncquières (Alice Isaaz) and its mother (Natalia Dontcheva).

Delightful period drama - Lady J review by JS
This was available on Netflix so we watched it there rather than waiting for a DVD.
Superb period drama with a twist or two.
Highly recommended.
