What?????
- Lady in the Water review by CP Customer
Had read a few good reviews for this film, but maybe I completely missed the point, cos I hated it! Silly, far fetched story, some of the actors didn't fit the parts, and not brilliant special effects.
Sorry!

Modern mythology
- Lady in the Water review by CP Customer
If you have an interest in mythology you might enjoy this, although you will need to put up with the modern setting. Giamatti is excellent in his role as a janitor for an apartment complex, trying to hide from the world and nurse emotional wounds from his past. It is interesting how the residents of the complex get involved in the story in a variety of ways, to try and help the 'lady' get back to her watery world.

The Village again
- Lady in the Water review by CP Customer
This fim is really clever, really really really clever, original premise, uh no, original plot uh no, original story uh not a chance. The really clever thing about this film is the fact that this film is almost the exact same story as The Village.A central character must try to escape from where she is to another world. But in the way are scary creatures, it then turns out that the people around her are somehow involved in her being able to escape.
The film started off ok but seemed to become lazy and confused as it continued. To be honest in the end I didn't really care what happened.Quality rip off of his own work, yes. Quality film.I'm afraid not.

A modern fairy tail.
- Lady in the Water review by CP Customer
This was quite a good twist on a modern fairy tale. The story was a bit on the weak side, but the characters and high standard of acting pretty much held the film together.

The earliest of M Night Shymalan's stinkers
- Lady in the Water review by AER
This was M Night Shyamalan's first awful movie. His first four were either awesome or merely very good, with (imo) Signs, being the weakest compared to The Sixth Sense, The Village, and Unbreakable. Sadly, this convoluted and thoroughly unconvincing ensemble piece is utterly unconvincing and full of plot holes and unlikely behaviour from its characters. It has lengthy and complicated pre-credits story to sink us into its world but it's still very stupid and fails to come together at any point. I pity the varied and interesting cast who basically flop along like fish out water. They clearly came along to join in on the M Night bandwagon, but by now he was out of ideas and Hollywood hadn't caught onto the fact that he needed a supervisor. Lady In The Water stinks.
