- Synopsis:
Spring 1944, World War II has been ravaging Europe for more than four years. Angry and bereaved by the death of his younger brother, Flight Lieutenant Douglas Miller (Jeffrey Mundell), a broken and isolated spitfire ace who survived The Battle of Britain, transfers to Bomber Command, determined to take the war to the skies over Germany and quench his thirst for vengeance. On arriving at his new posting, he is given the unenviable task of replacing the much-loved Skipper of an experienced Lancaster Bomber crew, who was killed in action just days before. Struggling to bond with his new crew, carrying a dark secret and obsessed with his mission to wage war at any cost, Douglas must find a way to gain their trust, overcome his inner demons and become the leader they so desperately need. - Actors:

Sorry but terrible! - Lancaster Skies review by MW
This is the worst film I have seen in ages... we lasted all of 25 minutes!
The script is lacking any dialogue, the sets are so bad they look like someone’s shed, and the acting is just as bad.
It doesn’t do justice to the RAF in the war.

Awful script; wooden acting; wordy scenes lacking action, no subtitles.
Best watch BATTLE OF BRITAIN the wonderful 1969 movie then. Or Dark Blue World.; or Reach for the Sky. Or Angels One Five (1954); or Piece of Cake, 1988 TV drama.
Not this. I liked the planes, even if CGI. But the script is wordy, slow and, frankly, boring. The acting is so wooden it could make a table.

Poor Homage to the memory of Bomber command - Lancaster Skies review by CP Customer
This is one of the most wasted films I have rented, claiming to be a homage to Bomber Command, it does not honour them in a way I believe they should have been.
