- Is he the village idiot or a genius in disguise? 17 year old Noi (Tómas Lemarquis) drifts through life on a remote fjord in the north of Iceland, cut off from the outside world by a shroud of snow. He dreams of escape from this white-walled prison with Iris (Elín Hansdóttir), a pretty young city girl who works in a local gas station, but his clumsy breaks for freedom spiral out of control and seem doomed to end in failure.

A curious tale of a bored teenager - Noi Albinoi review by CP Customer
A great little film about a bored albino teenager who leads a dull life in a small Icelandic town, where the landscape is cold and dreary, and everybody seems to be unhappy. The slow pace of the film along with frequent landscape shots help convey just how oppressive and bleak life in this remote town is, but the things that brings 'Noi Albinoi' to life are the great characters and a story that is infused with subtle humour and pathos. If you like foreign films then this is definitely worth a look.

Albino - Noi Albinoi review by DS
Enjoyable, low-key story about a misfit (who doesn't actually seem to be an albino) in some tiny fishing village in Iceland that for some reason has a taxi service. Not an awful lot happens, but it is very likeable, which is maybe an accurate representation of Iceland; I don't know, I've never been there, although I would quite like to go. 8 out of 14.

Dull and Slow - Noi Albinoi review by ll
Barely able to watch to the end and certainly does not meet any of the many definitions of comedy. Its not interesting that Iceland can be cold and snowy. Nothing happens - well apart from the last 10 minutes. I would have rated zero if I could. Unbelievably boring.
