Disappointing - Northanger Abbey review by LC

Spoiler Alert

This was like a silly love affair.

I am surprised at Andrew Davies who usually does great adaptions.

He changes storylines and seems in a rush to conclude.

I wasn't impressed with the actress who played Catherine. She might be more suited to soaps where shedoesn't have to convey any deeper feelings.

Mr. Tilney the younger was very good thoigh.

Charming adaptation - Northanger Abbey review by AM

A charming adaptation which sticks closely to the original text. As it’s only a 90 minute film part of the story had to be missed out but the main narrative is retained with equal time given to the two settings of Bath and Northanger Abbey. I found Felicity Jones to be   perfectly cast as Catherine Morland. Young and innocent but with a vibrant sense of humour and a real strength of character
