- Synopsis:
- One Foot in the Grave is a cult British comedy series about Victor Meldrew (Richard Wilson) and his always forgiving, patient wife Margaret (Annette Crosbie). The series follows Victor’s attempts to have a quiet peaceful life with his wife which keeps being interrupted by his neighbours, Margaret’s friends and other outside influences. Not helping matters is Victors constant grumpiness, something that causes a lot of comedy but also infuriates Margaret and everyone else, even Victor who becomes irritated at himself quite easily.

Catchphrase "I Don't Believe It !" - One Foot in the Grave review by AW
More or less binge-watched this as I'd never seen the series when first broadcast. Clever storylines about the hapless but grouchy Meldrew as he suffers mounting frustrations after being forced into retirement after losing his job to mechanisation. Annette Crosbie as his long suffering wife is a perfect foil.
