- After Earth is torn apart by religious differences and the human race teeters on the edge of extinction, an atheistic android architect sends two creations - Mother (Amanda Collin) and Father (Abubakar Salim) - to start a peaceful, godless colony on the planet Kepler-22b. 'Raised by Wolves' follows Mother and Father as they attempt to raise human children in this mysterious virgin land, a treacherous and difficult task that's jeopardized by the arrival of the Mithraic, a deeply devout religious order of surviving humans. As the androids make contact with this zealous and dangerous group, they struggle to control the beliefs of their fiercely self-determining children.

Series starts with so much promise... But - Raised by Wolves: Series 1 review by LH
It pretty soon jumps the shark. I finished season 1 and have sent Season two back unwatched. Life is too short to give your time to boxsets that fail to deliver.
Real shame as first few episodes drew me in. Interesting themes of AI and science vs Religion & man vs machine... Life on Earth coming to an end etc. However the plot rapidly veered away from these interesting areas and I think tried to do too much in an attempt to keep things twisting and turning... I wonder if it fell foul of the screenwriters strike in the USA?
No spoilers, in case you want to watch it but The season 1 finale provides an almost literal shark motif to jump, at which point I thought "I'm out." Finished the episode and I ain't never goin back.
