Synopsis:
It's good to have a ghost on your side in the private eye business, especially in cases when an invisible ally can really turn the tide in your favour. Mike Pratt plays Jeff Randall and Kenneth Cope is his ghostly partner Marty Hopkirk, cursed to wander earth for 100 years.

1. My Late Lamented Friend and Partner
Jeff and Marty's partnership seems to come to a dramatic end when Marty is killed by a hit-and-run driver but Marty is soon back as a White-suited ghost to help solve his own murder.
2. A Disturbing Case
Marty's widow Jean happens upon Jeff apparently talking to himself (he's actually discussing a spate of bizarre robberies with his invisible partner). She immediately seeks medical help in the form of the sinister Dr. Conrad.

1969 - Randall and Hopkirk Deceased: Vol.1 review by JD

Spoiler Alert

A gem. This 1969 comedy drama will not appeal to many under 50. It is very dated, the action sequences are pitiful by today's standards, the role of women would be seen as unacceptable, and the acting a little projected, but at the time I first saw it, it was good and I when I re-watched them I felt a very strong nostalgic fondness for the wry, silly humour. Even for those who did not see them before there is nothing like this now and you might just find yourself smiling stupidly at the cine screen.
