A really good film that made us laugh and cry. Don Cheadle is excellent as a successful dentist with a nice family life. Something seems to be missing though. He bumps in to old college room mate Charlie, played well by Adam Sandler, whose life was devastated by 9/11. A really interesting friendship develops, with Cheadle bringing Sandler back from the brink of insanity. Gentle, funny and touching.
yes finaly a film of class, didnt think he had it in him? adam sandler. but he has/had good acting from all decent storyline and real emotional film.recomended as a uplifting experiance and a insight into the real 9/ storys
of family effects
Truly dreadful, a plot that might have flown if done as an indy is a leaden Hollywood fairy tale. We got it on the good reviews, but were appalled at its utter lack of any real feeling. Don Cheadle struggles, Adam Sandler whines, Liv Tyler twitters soothingly; the best part is the dental receptionist.
