Lots fo visual gagss as well as some clever dialogue make this worth watching. Its also fun trying to spot the voice - Terry Wogan was a surprise! Good fun.
One of the things that set Pixar animated films above others is the fact that they can entertain both adults and children, with both enjoying the story and jokes on different levels, the trouble with 'Robots' is that it fails to do this. The actual story and jokes are so weak that the average adult will get bored pretty rapidly, and the characters are fairly bland so as an adult viewer you don't really become attached to them. In reality 'Robots' is a nice visual journey but not much else. Worth renting if you have young kids, but don't expect anything as good as Pixars' previous efforts.
Aimed at probably 10 year-olds, there was not much in background visual jokes to keep adults hooked. The parodies of Star Wars etc were too short to be of any noticeability and the storyline was far too predictable.
Good effects relating to Robot City transport etc.
Only watch if you have children to keep entertained but keep a book handy for yourself.
