- Tina Bell (Jessica Hynes) lives in a quiet seaside town, but her life is anything but quiet -her mother is threatening to leave her father, her daughter is being bullied and she and her husband Mick (Shaun Parkes) are juggling full time jobs and three children. Determined to ditch the dysfunction and beat her inner demons, Tina puts on her fighting gloves, literally -stepping into the boxing ring to sweat out her anxieties and punch up her self-worth. But does she have what it takes to get her family off the ropes and emerge victorious?

Two and a half stars - The Fight review by TE
A middle-of-the-road, middling directorial and writing debut from the wonderful Jessica Hynes.
The story shows how bad parenting produces school bullies, and how the hard physical exercise of boxing helps the lead character to deal with her own past as a bully, along with her stressful present as a parent.
It is one those films where it feels as if something has been lost in the editing process. It's all a bit flat and the ending is trite.
The best moments come when Hynes deploys her deadpan humour. Her 'straight' acting is just not convincing.
