Several reviewers on IMDb complain that Sasha Grey is expressionless throughout this film. I disagree. She shows exactly as much emotion as her character would in these circumstances. She's always behind an emotional veil. She has to be in view of her chosen profession.
It's beautifully shot, with a great soundtrack, but very confusing as it's all out of sequence. This seems to be the trend these days. Show bits from here and there in time and get the viewer to piece it all together. Well, I'm sorry but I can't remember the whole film in order to resequence it in my mind after I've seen it.
My advice to Blu-Ray watchers: (1) watch the feature film; (2) watch it again with the commentary track; (3) watch the director's cut. After that, it will make more sense. Not complete sense, but more sense. Overall, it's not bad, and I ended up quite liking Sasha Grey. My favourite Soderbergh film is still The Limey.
