- Synopsis:
What appears to be a random murder at the Copenhagen docks draws attention towards the shipping and oil giant Zeeland, run by billionaire Robert Zeuthen. Meanwhile Sarah Lund is disturbed by an old flame, Mathias Borch, from the National Intelligence Service (PET) who fears that the killing in the docks is the beginning of an assassination attempt upon the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Kamper is himself in the middle of a turbulent election due to the pressures of the financial crisis and is looking for backing from the commercial sector, including Zeeland. Both Lund and the investigation quickly become embroiled in the politics of the financial crisis and all too late she begins to piece together the perpetrator's plan. Destinies cross over all sections of Danish society as the hunt for the perpetrator intensifies towards a dark secret which eventually puts everything at stake for the Prime Minister, Robert Zeuthen and Sarah Lund... - Actors:

Better than Borgen - The Killing: Series 3 review by JD
Danish films seem to be very highly regarded at the moment most notably Borgen, the Bridge and the Killing. Personally I think they are all fantastic and that the Killing is best of them all. Which series of the Killing is the best is difficult but 3 is definitely not running out of steam. I stayed up far too late because I could not wait a day for the next episode of which there are 10. Like Borgen there are several parallel plots, the prime minister and political elections being the primary one in Borgen but secondary in the Killing to a murder detective thriller.

Protracted storyline - The Killing: Series 3 review by PP
I found this movie very difficult to watch. How in heavens name all the 'outsiders' got to know every detail of the police investigation and how the girls father got to shoot the culprit just beggars belief. I skipped through most of the last two episodes as I was beginning to feel exhaused trying to follow all the diversions and competing storylines. The detectives were absolutely useless along with the senior officers and the so called internal investigators.
Dont waste your time watching this rubbish.
