Synopsis:
At the end of the First Crusade, the Knights Templar was formed to protect Christian passage to the Holy Land. After two centuries they were wiped out. Now, an ancient mystery is about to be unearthed. In New York, a celebration of Vatican art is underway when four robed horsemen storm the event and disappear with an historic decoder. Among the guests is Tess Chaykin daughter of a famous archaeologist. When she realises that the theft is connected to the Knights Templar, she alerts detective Sean Daly.
Why was the decoder the only item stolen? Templar scholar Bill Vance, an old friend of Tess's, may have the answer that cracks the code of an ancient journal's truth about the divinity of Jesus. Also on the trail of the journal is Monsignor De Angelis, a priest dispatched by; the Vatican, and Bill Vance, whose motives are far more personal - and dangerous. As the search continues, Tess gets closer to the truth and nearer to the legendary journal itself. If she survives long enough to decode it, the course of history will change putting the fate of the world in her hands.

Romantic religious rubbish - The Last Templar review by JD

Spoiler Alert
05/10/2012

This film has discontinuities every 10 minutes and then a break half way. I think it was poorly edited from a television series. The format is very similar to a few other knight's templar stories. No where near as good as Tom Hank's Da Vinci Code. The acting in Last Templar is poor and the plot strained. I liked the very close resemblance of the flash back scenes to the game Assassin's Creed. I don't know if this was intended and is not relevant unless you are a gamer. Quite a lot of romance. Generally poor.
