The Second Chechen War. 1999. "The Search" recounts, on a human scale, a powerful story of conflict told through four lives that will be brought together by a shocking twist of fate. After his parents are killed in their village, a small boy flees, joining the flood of refugees. He meets Carole, a European Union delegation head and little by little, with her help, he will return to happiness. Intringuing and enjoyable. - The Search review by CSF

Because of the topic of the film, it ought to be more emotional than that. However, I did enjoy it. Didn't expect to see Annette Benning there. Again, I think the talent of these actors has not been exploited enough. At least the ending is not absurd or stupid like in most French films where the film just stop. I mean, it has an ending.
