At a low-life club, a disinterested stripper slowly struts her stuff. An array of tired, ill and distinctly undesirable salesmen watch her, while Pete, the stripper's DJ boyfriend, plays the music. By the end of the evening, Pete has found a new job; apprentice to Tommy Rag, an overweight and overwrought vacuum cleaner salesman. Living on whisky and Puffa-Puffa rice from the glove compartment, inspired by motivation tapes of Tommy's own voice shouting 'Sell, Sell, F**kin Sell', the maniacal mentor and his trainee hit the road. As Pete grows desperate to make a sale, Tommy single-mindedly pursues the Golden Vac - the holy grail of vacuum salesmanship... But someone, somewhere doesn't want them to succeed. - Actors:

Character-led story - Vacuuming Completely Nude review by Big Bob
Danny Boyle rarely disappoints, and this is a good quality character led plot with Timothy Spall really letting rip. Deeply darkly black and comedic, this is a classic clash of personalities type story. What really lets the DVD down is the abysmal picture quality, but this appears to be how it was filmed. If you can get past that, then it's quite watchable.

Technically awful - Vacuuming Completely Nude review by RD
The title gives you false hopes, maybe of a surreal sophisticated film with plenty of imagination. The reality is so much more of a shock because of this perhaps.
The first impressions are poor, as the film quality is dire with a blurred, very grainy image that carries on throughout the film, sort of like poor quality VHS and 8mm home movies mixed together. The lighting is bad as well, in fact very amateur, as well as the mono soundtrack.
The film itself never seems to get beyond a lot of shouting and a silly road rage style of driving, both good acting skills displayed by Mr Spall, but the constant onslaught of this does lead to viewer fatigue, especially in the absence of anything developing plotwise.
We stayed with it until nearly halfway through the film to see if it was going anywhere, but there was no great development in the plot and the home video style of film along with the shouting led to us giving up.
It's like paradise when the film stops!
