Military conscripts Yossi and Jagger are soldiers in love - but secretly so, in this magnificently directed, tender Israeli drama. Their affair is unknown to almost all the other inhabitants of their isolated outpost, including Ya'eli, a sweet female soldier who holds a candle for the unsuspecting Jagger. As an attack looms closer, the tensions in the lovers' relationship mount. Jagger is about to finish his service, and wants his discretion-obsessed commanding officer Yossi to quit the army and live openly with him. But can they even survive the evening's ambush? Watch with caution - Yossi and Jagger review by CP Customer
In a similar way to 'Eyes Wide Open' 'Yossi and Jagger' runs into very stereotypical ground with the death of one of the gay characters. No one would find this dull cliche appropriate in any other form of love film, so I can only presume that to be gay and Israeli remains taboo. Please don't cuddle up on the sofa for a romantic evening with this film.

Short, Slight, Tragic Israeli Drama about a Love Affair of Gay Conscript Soldiers - Yossi and Jagger review by PV
This is a slight, short Israeli film about soldiers doing national service (I think 3 years for boys, 2 years for girls there).
Not sure where they are based, but there is snow so...GOLAN HEIGHTS maybe as that is by the Syria border.
Tragic really, about friendship and families, touching film.
I was amused one soldier was nicknamed JAGGER as he behaves like a rock star.
Worth watching esp as it is so timely with the Gaza war now.
