- Synopsis:
- US romantic drama written and directed by Tyler Perry. The film follows the lives of Bayou and Leanne (Joshua Boone and Solea Pfeiffer) after they meet and fall in love as teenagers in 1940s Georgia. When Leanne's mother, who disapproves of their relationship, decides to move her family to Boston, Bayou is left heartbroken. Despite going their separate ways, the lives of the young lovers continue to intersect over the course of the next four decades as Bayou realises his father's dream of becoming a professional musician and Leanne marries into a powerful Georgia family while passing as white in Boston.
