A Mother Brings Her Son to Be Shot (2017)

Irish documentary which explores the story behind a woman taking her son to be shot. Armed Republicans instructed Majella O'Donnell to allow her teenage son Philip to be shot in the legs as a punishment for drug dealing, and to allow for the maintenance of order within an autonomous society. The O'Donnell's discuss what life is like for them since that day in the self-policing community of Creggan in Free Derry and how ongoing violence and conflict have not dissipated since the signing of the Good Friday Agreement in 1998.
