A Passion for Verdi (Pier Giorgio Morandi) (2001)

Tenor José Cura, joined by soprano Daniela Dessì, sings the works of Verdi in this command performance at the Barbican Centre, featuring Pier Giorgio Morandi conducting the London Symphony Orchestra. Cura also picks up the baton to serve as guest conductor on several pieces. The acclaimed tenor interprets many of Verdi's dramatic heroes, as well as some of his own signature roles, including Otello and Don Carlos.
