Synopsis:
Recreating a good old-fashioned afternoon at the Flicks, with a short, a main feature, vintage adverts and the national anthem at the end!

Vintage Cinema Adverts 1950's
1950s cinema adverts including special offers from Drene Shampoo and Gleem toothpaste, swing dance lessons from the Arthur Murray School of Dancing.
The B Feature: Shadow of Fear (1963)
This intriguing spy thriller opens with Bill (Paul Maxwell) waiting for his flight home from Baghdad, where he takes a message from a British secret agent. On his arrival in London, two men posing as police officers take him to a hotel where he delivers the message.
Main Feature: Identity Unknown (I960)
This romantic drama follows two reporters who interview the surviving relatives of a fatal plane crash. As the story unfolds, they begin to develop a relationship.
Bonus Feature: The Promise (1952)
This spiritual drama centres on a young social worker who takes over from the recently deceased Mr. Townsend and tries to understand what is motivating his need to help others.

A detective mystery, which features a robbery from a ship with a cargo full of diamonds. (AKA Death Tide).

This supernatural drama is a forgotten gem which tells the story of a young man who becomes involved with a spiritualist group after his fiance dies. (AKA Spellbound / The Spell of Amy Nugent / Ghost Story).
Main Feature: You Will Remember (1941)
Based on the life of popular English composer Leslie Stuart (Robert Morley) this musical biography film follows his rise to fame after the publication of his first song and through his glory days in the early 1900s. He had success in the music halls with shows such as Florodora; but fell from grace due to the popularisation of Jazz.
Bonus Feature: The Adventures of Jane (1949)
This comedy film is based on the stage show inspired by the comic strip 'Jane', originally created by Norman Pett. The heroine had a habit of accidentally losing her clothes and was always accompanied by her pet dachshund Fritz.

A Boulting brothers classic, this British drama combines the supernatural with themes of war and the fight for freedom. An English journalist tries to warn the public of the dangers of Adolf Hitler, but without response.
