Aynur (Almila Bagriacik) is shot in the middle of Berlin by her brother Nuri (Rauand Taleb) on the open road. She accompanied him unsuspectingly to the bus stop, and her five-year-old son Can is sleeping in the apartment a few hundred meters away. How did this act come about? In only a wife, Aynur tells her story. It is the story of a confident young woman who loves life and knows exactly how she wants to live it. Who escapes violence in her marriage and doesn't let her brothers and parents dictate what she has to do. She is looking for and Can her own apartment, doing an apprenticeship, going out and meeting new friends. She knows that this is against the traditions of her family and puts herself at risk, but her urge for freedom is greater. Until their brothers' insults and threats become more serious.
