Synopsis:
Saxophone virtuoso Charlie Parker was a transforming talent who pioneered be-bop and changed the face of jazz improvisation. Although he died long before his time, "Bird" recorded a huge amount of material that continues to inspire musicians today. This video provides a tribute to Parker from many artists who knew and worked with him, including Phil Woods and Jimmy Cobb.
