It's 1996 and Pablo Perez (Juan Minujin) is struggling both with turning 30 and discovering that he is HIV-positive. He keeps a journal chronicling his search for romance in magazine ads, cruising in a porn cinema, and picking up men in bars. Eventually, he discovers leather, bondage and a gorgeous man (Javier van de Couter) who he might be able to love. But this isn't a predictable love story. Director Anahi Berneri dives into the grubby backstreets of Buenos Aires, to capture Pablo's awkward relationships, intense yearning and his deep self-doubt. It's a remarkably detailed examination of a gay man who feels detached in his own community until he discovers a new life through S&M.
