Abe Lincoln of the Ninth Avenue (1939)

Nicknamed Abe Lincoln Of Ninth Avenue, Jimmy Keenan (Jackie Cooper), runs a newsstand by day and studies law at night. Hooligans and extortion gathering goons constantly trouble him and his delivery boys. This inevitably leads to a fight. A surprise party planned for his crippled friend Gimpy (Martin Spellman) is spoiled by his father who gambles away the money. Jimmy meets Anne, the Judge's niece (Marjorie Reynolds) at a party. Jimmy's brother Tap Keenan a wealthy racketeer is sought by the cops for murder, Tap runs to Jimmy for help, but Jimmy refuses to help him. Eventually Gimpy gets shot in the bargain.
