African Guitar presents cultural anthropologist Gerhard Kubik's personal field recordings from 1966-1993. Since 1959 Gerhard has worked and lived in Africa and Europe. He is the author of several books and over 200 published articles dealing with cultures, oral literature and particularly the music of sub-Saharan Africa.
