Daniel Mays stars in this powerful dramatisation of the Montagu Trial - one of the most sensational and controversial court cases of the 1950's and the catalyst for a campaign that paved the way for the decriminalisation of homosexuality in Britain. 'Against the Law' follows the affair between celebrated Fleet Street journalist Peter Wildeblood (Daniel Mays) and serviceman Eddy McNally (Richard Gadd) - the exposure of which led to public vilification and prison sentences for Wildeblood and his friends Michael Pitt-Rivers (Josh Collins) and Lord Montagu (Mark Edel-Hunt) of Beaulieu.
