The inimitable Belgian detective is spending the festive period at Gorston Hall, at the request of Simeon Lee. The bitter, rich old man believes his life is in danger - and the assembled family members certainly all stand to gain from his death. Before long, Lee's prediction has come true and he is found in his bedroom with his throat cut.
