- The inimitable Belgian detective is spending the festive period at Gorston Hall, at the request of Simeon Lee. The bitter, rich old man believes his life is in danger - and the assembled family members certainly all stand to gain from his death. Before long, Lee's prediction has come true and he is found in his bedroom with his throat cut. Poirot is soon on the case, but he's stumped - with the door locked from the inside and the windows secured, who could have done the deadly deed? Poirot must uncover the secrets hidden by the Lee family and probe deep into the victim's past in order to solve an ingenious crime and identify the killer...
