Synopsis:
High-flying, PR whiz Agatha raisin (Ashley Jensen) takes her foot off the gas and leaves London to retire to the tranquil and picturesque village of Carsely in the Cotswolds. However, life is never quiet for Agatha as she accidentally turns amateur sleuth while simultaneously admiring the hendsome James Lacey (Jamie Glover) next door. Crime is never far from Agatha's door, from the death of a rambler to the murder of James's girlfriend Mary Fortune. Fortunately, former colleague Roy (Mathew Horne), and new ally cum cleaner Gemma (Katy Wix) are on hand to help. Adapted from the best-selling books by M.C.
Beaton, "Agatha Raisin" is embroiled in mysteries that are both grisly and hilarious in equal measure.

Much as I was willing to like Agatha and her travails this didn't work for me, I felt the comedic elements weren't particularly funny and the drama, as it was, too thin.
