- Ruhrpott 1972. The chubby, 9-year-old Hans-Peter grows up in the security of his happy and festive relationship. His great talent to make others laugh, he trains daily in the grocery store of his grandmother Änne (Hedi Kriegeskotte). But unfortunately not everything is rosy. Dark shadows attach to the boy's everyday life as his mother becomes more and more oppressed after surgery. For Hans-Peter an incentive to perfect his comedic talent on and on. The touching childhood story of one of Germany's greatest entertainers, Hape Kerkeling (Julius Weckauf).
