Winters in the Yorkshire Dales can be very harsh indeed, and with Darrowby several feet thick in snow, life outdoors is hard for our three favourite veterinarians. And with Helen laid up with a slipped disc, life indoors for James - as he struggles with chores, children and a waiting room full of sick animals - is equally testing. That's not all James has to deal with, however. There's Mr Biggins who won't pay his bills, there's Siegfried's beloved car that needs costly repairs, and there's the unenviable task of being the guest of honour at Tricky Woo's birthday party. Pretty much business as usual then, at the nation's favourite country practice.
