América (2018)

Three adult Mexican brothers are reunited after their 93-year-old grandmother América falls out of bed one night. Now they are suddenly in charge of looking after her, as their father is sent to prison on an obscure charge of neglecting her. An unexpected reunion that turns into something of an adventure for all of them. The three brothers are different in spirit but all of them are free, restless souls with a penchant for green tobacco, yoga and meditation. Soon conflicts are festering under the laid-back and poetic lifestyle. Will their responsibility for América bring them together? And did América maybe even fall out of bed on purpose to bring together the family?
