- Drew Carson has been humiliated in front of a national audience by losing to his arch rival in an important martial arts tournament. Drew travels to the legendary Shaolin Temple in China in a quest to seek out the best of the best - immersing himself in training with a passion - in an attempt to settle the score. 'American Shaolin' is the story of an American teenager who goes to China for revenge and instead grows up, set against the sweeping backdrop of modern China, and in the mythical Shaolin Temple.
