Screen legend Peter Ustinov displays his celebrated wit and humour in this 1988 ITV special. Ustinov was acknowledged by many as the 'King of the Raconteurs', able to hold an audience spellbound with humorous anecdotes honed to perfection over the years. His career spanned film, theatre, books and he was the favoured guest of many a chat show host, though most people still recognise him as Hercule Poirot from 'Death on the Nile' and 'Evil Under the Sun'. It is his charm and humour, however, that he is best remembered for and 'An Audience with Peter Ustinov' showcases this wonderfully, leading many to rate this as the finest in the popular and long-running 'Audience' series.
