- Synopsis:
- Young Tilly Bassett (Catherine Steadman) is uprooted from her New Hampshire farm by her grandmother, Isabella (Jacqueline Bisset), a wealthy society woman determined to make Tilly's dream of becoming a writer come true. Just days before Christmas, they've arrived in Dublin, where Tilly is to become the protege to Ireland's poet laureate, and if all goes well, wife to the old man's cynical son, Cameron (Leon Ockendenas). But Tilly's independent spirit soon paves a different course of action altogether.
