Drama in which a Nigerian couple living illegally in the USA attempt to gain citizenship for their child before they face deportation. Joyce (Omoni Oboli) and Paul (Sam Sarpong) receive a deportation order from the US government. Joyce, though, is five months pregnant and the couple realise that if they are able to stay in the USA long enough to have the child it will be granted US citizenship and will have the chance of a better future. Paul is soon caught by immigration officials, however, leaving the heavily pregnant Joyce to fend for herself. Joyce believes herself fortunate to meet Susan Backley (Terri Oliver), a freelance writer who offers to help her with accommodation until the baby is born, but is there an ulterior motive lurking behind the assistance she offers?
