The Samurai In Ancient Japan, two of the greatest clans, the Taira and Minamoto fought a war to eradicate the other. Here we find dramatic reconstructions of the battles fought between them as well as a clear insight into what life was like for a Samurai warrior. The Samurai followed a set of written rules called the Bushido. They had to become adept with a bow and arrow, be able to use a long spear and halberd but above all else master the art of swordsmanship.
