- No couple has tried harder to have a baby than Roxy (Amy Madigan) and Vinnie (Dennis Boutsikaris) Ventola. Then, just as they give up hope, Roxy's latest pregnancy reaches full term and she gives birth to Miranda. But tragedy strikes in the most catastrophic way imaginable. Miranda is revealed to have AIDS - and Roxy and Vinnie discover that they, too, have the disease. But amid their suffering and limited life expectancy, Roxy and Vinnie are about to discover that there is more love between them than most people ever know and that the memory of love can be just as sustaining as the love itself.
