The musical play of what growing up in the 70's was really like! Following 2 years of sell out shows in the Edinburgh Fringe, 'And They Played Shang-a-Lang' makes its debut onto video! This is what life was like growing up in 70's Scotland. Told through laughter, tears and 70's hit music numbers we follow Jim's life as he negotiates the stormy waters of adolescence. From school playground to school disco we witness his life through his memories as it unfolded around him. His first encounters with love, death and stumbling dealings with the opposite sex are played out for all to see, plus there s musical tributes to the songs that could be heard in school discos everywhere during the 70's: Bohemian Rhapsody, YMCA, Puppy Love and of course the Bay City Rollers hit Shang-a-Lang. This production has it all and the strong cast brings the story to life with verve and energy that will leave you crying out for more.
