- Synopsis:
- This old-fashioned family drama, set in Rockport, 1962, is based on the true story of a harbour master and his family who adopt a seal called Andre. His son nurses Andre back to health and soon develops a close friendship with the seal which catches the attention of the local media. But the local fisherman are up in arms, blaming a poor fishing season on seals attacking and ripping their nets. This forces Andre to leave his adopted family, go back out to sea and fight for his own survival.
