Rent Angelic Layer (2001 - 2001)

Angelic Layer is a Japanese animated series about a young girl who moves to Tokyo to live with her aunt. The series follows Misaki, a young girl who has moved away from her family home to Tokyo and has trouble fitting into her new surroundings until someone suggests she start taking part in competitions of the game Angelic Layer, a game played with customised dolls called Angels. Through the game she finds friends but also begins to learn things about her mother, someone she hasn’t seen in years.
