Synopsis:
The most precarious time for a baby animal occurs in the hours after it has taken its first breath. Some are born without the presence of a mother, like Africa's most dangerous snake, the black mamba, while others are born into animal maternity wards, like the foals of the blesbok. Whether having a family or mother to look after them,or going solo and relying purely on instinct, being born in the wild means adapting as fast as possible to the obstacles Mother Nature puts in their paths. Animals featured include: African wild cat, blesbok, giraffe, foam net frog, black mamba, baboon, wildebeest and hippopotamus.
