Wildlife cameraman Gordon Buchanan heads to Eastern Russia on his most challenging trip to date, as he goes in search of the Russian tiger. The beautiful and unknown area of Ussuriland is his destination which has the largest unbroken area of forest with the single largest population of tigers anywhere in the world. This incredible film tells Gordon's story as he sets out to find and film the tiger of the Russian Far East. Vladivostok, where he begins his search is bleak and bitterly cold with no sign of any wildlife. Gordon has the help of Anatoly Petrov who has spent much time in these forests and is one of the few people who has seen a wild tiger.
