Renowned Austrian composer Anton Bruckner created nine symphonies throughout the course of his career, but his "Symphony No. 5" stands out as his lifetime masterpiece. The well-respected Cleveland Orchestra, conducted by Franz Welser-Most, performed Bruckner's work at the 2006 Linz Bruckner Festival. Unfortunately, the composer never got to hear a final version of his symphony performed because he was ill during its premiere.
