Synopsis:: Classic Bollywood drama about Sanjay (Rajesh Khanna) and Shrikant (Vinod Mehra), two inseparable friends. Sanjay is a singer and Shrikant a poet. When Sanjay leaves his home and goes to Calcutta to work as a driver in the house of Ramesh Chandra, he meets Sunita (Simple Kapadia), the grand-daughter of Ramesh Chandra. The two are united after a series of misunderstandings and Shrikant and his mother are in turn united with Ramesh Chandra, who is his long-lost father.
