Arakimentari explores the work of the popular Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki, renowned for his controversial photographs for all thing feminine. Blurring the lines between art, erotica and pornography, he is accredited with the reversal of the Japanese ban on the visual representation of pubic hair and is seen by his supporters as one of champions of social criticism in Japan. Liberally peppered with images of the photography and presented in an intentionally imitational manner. This is biogarphy that goes beyond a simple tale and reaches into the realms of an artistic portrait.
